The Inland Empire strikes back with an active, ambitious new airport powered by the hyper-fuel of creative branding.
Ontario Int’l Airport is the fastest growing airport in the US according to Global Traveler, approximately 25 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. As a full-service airport, it offers nonstop commercial jet service to 26 major airports in the US, Mexico, Central America & Taiwan. In a move to establish its own identity under local control with the Ontario In’tl Airport Authorities, authorities championed a marketing campaign to attract travelers in Southern California.
Objective
We were tasked with lifting the Ontario Int’l Airport brand to coincide with the growth of the Inland Empire. The ultimate goal was to make Ontario the fastest growing airport in the US through exciting communications, ultimately driving carrier customers to make alternate travel choices away from highly congested LAX towards nearby Ontario.

Approach
To support this active and ambitious airport, we did everything from a new logo to a slogan that communicated how easy it was to fly in and out of Southern California at Ontario. Our efforts coincided with the growth of the Inland Empire, and were successful in making Ontario the fastest growing airport in the US. We also provided communications to their carrier customers, to drive more business to Ontario.
